butterscotch eclairs

Looks good, doesn’t it?
It wasn’t.
The eclair was passably eclairish, but the butterscotch pieces on top were a chewy, hard consistency, like a half-melted Riesen dusted in gold.
It was like putting a Jolly Rancher on a chocolate cupcake.
England, your desserts FAIL AGAIN.
